About the Gala
Laura Fygi
Jeremy Monteiro
Everywhere that Laura Fygi visits, there's one common factor- that instantly recognisable voice which has won her hearts all over the globe.
Dubbed "Singapore's King of Swing", Cultural Medallion recipient, jazz pianist, composer and producer Jeremy Monteiro has garnered critical acclaim all over the world.
In view of the prevalence of COVID-19 and because the health and safety of everyone is our utmost priority, the JASS Benefit Gala “Let There Be Love,” originally planned as a “live” event on 10 July 2020, will now be a virtual gala on 14 March 2021. The Gala will be a key event to inaugurate our 5th anniversary milestone celebrating the spirit of jazz and will also be Singapore's first virtual jazz gala.
With the latest technology, gala guests will continue to be treated to the mesmerizing vocals and captivating presence of the international jazz diva Laura Fygi. Laura, based in Amsterdam, will be seamlessly joined by Singapore's "King of Swing" Jeremy Monteiro and an ensemble of our orchestras' musicians to perform "Let There Be Love" and other well-loved jazz tunes. The show will be enlivened with fascinating augmented-reality touches that will be memorable.
Gala table buyers and their guests will also be individually treated to a specially curated dinner delivered to their homes, as they enjoy the evening's performances and proceedings.
To further enliven the evening and lead-up to the gala (as we all need more fun and cheer in our lives during this challenging period), we are glad to share that there will also be "Best Headdress" Awards! Find out more here.
There is also an online auction and we seek your kind support to consider making a bid. Please click here to view the auction items.
