Vanessa Shavonne
Vanessa Shavonne is a rising jazz vocalist whose voice is at once distinctive and timeless—refined, emotive, and deeply rooted in the classic jazz tradition. Originally from Indonesia and now based in Singapore, she brings a fresh yet nostalgic sensibility to every performance, blending technical elegance with heartfelt expression.

​In 2024, Vanessa made a significant entrance into the recording world with her debut album But Beautiful and her holiday release A Christmas Dream. That same year, she was also featured on Singapore’s “King of Swing” Jeremy Monteiro’s landmark 50th album, Live Upon Nassim Hill—a testament to her growing recognition in the region’s jazz community.
Vanessa’s musical journey began at the National University of Singapore (NUS), where she shone as a lead soloist in the NUS Jazz Band. Her poised stage presence and signature vocal style soon drew the attention of the country’s top jazz musicians. She has since performed with the Jazz Association Singapore Orchestra (JASSO) and the Jazz Association Singapore Youth Orchestra (JASSYO), establishing herself as a sought-after voice on the Singapore jazz scene.

She has graced major stages including International Jazz Day 2023 at the Botanic Gardens Symphony Stage, Lion City Jazz Festival 2024, and the upcoming JASSO Pinnacle 2025. With each performance, Vanessa brings a quiet power—her voice effortlessly navigating swing, ballads, and bossa nova with nuance and soul.
